HELP!!!
I have been hankering after these for a couple of weeks and the new Pringles ads on the tv do not help. I keep promising myself I will develop my own salsa sauce, but never seem to get around to it. The tortilla chips I can do easily.
So, how do I stop myself wandering off down the shop.

Salsa sauce... deseed and dice a tomato Dice a small onion Mix them together with a little olive oil and chilli powder, salt and pepper to taste let it sit overnight If you are using it as a dip you might want to run it through a blender and you can add peppers etc if you like them. Sometimes it's handy being married to a chef!

For goodness' sake, if you have to watch telly MUTE the sound during the ad breaks - they're not half as persuasive that way. Plus, you can play 'what the heck are they trying to sell' without the voiceover giving it away.

Yuummmm....tortilla chips...salsa...yummm...
Ahem, where was I? Oh yes. How not to buy them: Just don't. Or do, and make them last for ages by really savouring them a few at a time as tasty treats. Then hide the bag. Being an ex-anorexic helps with the whole 'only having a few at a time' thing. Oh dear, my poor eating habits and attitudes are re-appearing as I am stressing over assignments etc.
Best tip for a frugal foodbill: Be a semi-anorexic, skinned, vegetarian, student-who-can't-be-arsed-to-cook-eat-study-AND-go-food-shopping. Works for me. Who needs mental stability anyway...
You wrote you make tortilla chips yourself? Could we have the recipy?
